Future Expeditions Successful Summit of Cho Oyu, Tibet, October 2009 Successful Summit of Lhotse, May 2008 Giant Mountain Challenge: The Giant Mountain Challenge is a quest to climb six of the highest peaks in the world. All are located in the Himalaya and are above 8000m (26,000 feet). The purpose of this challenge is to demonstrate that one can lead an extraordinary life with diabetes, an incurable condition and a global pandemic. The six peaks include: Lhotse Gasherbrum 1 and 2 Broad Peak Shisha Pangma Cho Oyu The successful ascent of Everest in May 2006 completed the NovoLog Peaks and Poles Challenge; climbing the seven summits and walking to both Poles.
